Items I Can't Live Without
Lunch box. I pack my lunch every day and portion everything out. I even take it with me when I travel. The one I use is so adorable. It reminds me of a purse that Minnie Mouse would carry.
Mini-Fork (cocktail fork). I am a fork loader so a mini-fork helps me take much smaller bites. I also use a baby spoon when eating Greek yogurt.
8 oz. bowl. I know that I won't be able to eat any more than 3/4 cup (6oz.) at a time but when I don't measure my portions I don't know how much I am eating. I want to make sure I eat enough but don't want to over eat.
Protein. If I am going to be on the go during the day and won't have time to eat, I pack a high-protein shake in my lunch box. I prefer Premier Nutrition in the ready-made shake and GNC Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard powder (I add protein powder to many recipes to give them a protein boost.
Blender Bottle. I use this every day. I used the "blender ball" with the bottle during pre-op and the first few weeks post-op to mix up my protein shakes but I mostly use the bottle on its own now to help measure my daily water intake.
Crystal Light. I just don't like plain water. Crystal Light is the only way I can get in all 96 ounces of water a day.
Scale. I never thought I would ever say I couldn't live without my scale but we have become quite good friends.
Protein Bar. These protein bars by Quest are the BEST. With only a net 4-6 carbs, you cannot go wrong. They taste AMAZING.
